Learning outcomes
In the definition of learning outcomes, Faculty of Medicine University of Niš abided by the following principles:
- Learning outcomes of different levels of study are related to the Dublin descriptors;
- For the study programs in the field of medical sciences, the competences acquired within the study programs educating doctors of medicine, doctors of dentistry, and masters of pharmacy were taken over as the accepted study program outcomes from the respective international professional associations:

- The system and form of grading were harmonized per each course, enabling the achievement of all learning outcomes for a course or module as a structural unit of the curriculum;
- Development of the strategy of teaching and learning is oriented towards the achievement of learning outcomes.
Learning outcomes provided by the structure of the study program integrated academic studies of medicine enable the acquisition of Knowledge (K), Skills (S) and Attitudes/Behaviors (AB) in the following competence (outcome) categories:
- Integration of basic sciences into medicine;
- Integration of clinical knowledge and skills into patient management/care;
- Interpersonal and communication skills;
- Professionalism;
- Organization and systemic approach to medicine;
- Continuing education and career progress.
